Job Descriptions-Homemakers

The Homemaker, is responsible for the day-to-day provisions of homemaking services to the clients of Angela Renee’s Home Care, LLC. This is part of a commitment in assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities, to remain as independent as possible in their homes, for as long as it is feasible. Our Homemakers are committed to providing very high standards of customer service to our clients. Therefore, our agency also commits to the highest levels of staff training & support achievable. We direct all Caregivers to work directly with their assigned supervisors/administration so that all assignments maintain/exceed expectations.

The Assigned Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions for this job, but do not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Administrator, Director, RN Supervisor or Scheduler/Client Service Coordinator may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time, due to reasonable accommodations that may be needed, or for other reasons:

  • Reports to Administrator, Director, Office Manager or RN Supervisor:
    • Prepare nutritious meals
    • Perform light housekeeping of client’s environment, including linens and making the bed
    • Client’s laundry, including clothing and bedding
    • Assist in preparing shopping list
    • Medication reminders (WE DO NOT ADMINISTER ANY MEDICATION)
  • Social interaction/behavior modification activities as directed by the Plan of Service
  • Provides services following the Caregiver Plan of Service
  • Uses household equipment and supplies safely
  • Maintains a written log and receipts of client monies used for the purchase of goods and materials used in the care of the client
  • Reports any changes in the client’s condition to the Administrator, Director, Office Manager or RN Supervisor
  • Accurately documents services and submits documentation in a timely manner per agency policy

Qualifications Needed:

  • 3 years of experience as a Homemaker, Sitter/Companion, Caregiver, or similar work
  • Homemakers, Sitters/Companions must have a valid FL. issued driver’s license
  • Must have current First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Submit to a Criminal Background check
  • Submit to a Drug screening
  • Must have a physical and TB test (within 2 years)
  • Covid-19 testing required
